A lovely ceramic mug with the Border Terrier design in blue.
Quote reads: Originating from the borders of England & Scotland in the late 17th century.
Bred originally for fox hunting and guarding farms.They have enough stamina to follow a horse all day,also brave and small enough to follow a fox into it's burrow. Very good as guard dog. This small terrier is tough and tenacious.
They have otter like heads with a short muzzle and broad skull. The coat is wiry with a dense undercoat. Normally 12-15" high at the shoulder and weighing 12-18 pounds.Border's are a very cheerful breed. Extremely active & alert.Loving plenty of games and exercise.
